Since 1978 the Fairfield County Youth
Baseball Association (FCYBA) has given children between the ages of 6 and 18
the opportunity to play baseball. FCYBA is improving and expanding its efforts including
dedicated diamonds with regulation home run fences and pro-style grass infields,
high school baseball rules for ages 11 and up, with bigger diamonds at each age
group, Ohio High School Athletic Association sanctioned umpires for ages 13 and
up and all tournament play. FCYBA plays under high-school baseball rules for
ages 11 and up. This allows players to learn at an earlier age the more
advanced aspects of the game such as pick-offs, lead-offs, and dropped-third
strikes, and better prepares them for junior-high and high school ball. FCYBA
has its own facilities on Tshcopp Road, complete with regulation home run
